The club meets on the first and third Wednesday of each month, except during August, at Kington Langley Village Hall commencing promptly at 2.15 p.m. We arrive just after 2.00 p.m. in order to arrange the seating and to give assistance to the speaker. We take a break for a cup of tea around 3.15 p.m. The wives/partners of members prepare the tea on a rota basis and the membership secretary is always pleased to hear of new volunteers.
The current annual subscription is £27, payable to the treasurer each January.
We always find that talks given by club members prove to be some of the most interesting and enjoyable and are always very well received. If you feel that you are able to give a talk to the club, especially about your previous work or experiences or other pastimes and interests, this would be very welcome. Please have a word with the club secretary.
As well as our regular meetings, we organise an annual dinner to which our partners are invited. In the last few years this has been held at a local venue in Chippenham.
It is also our aim throughout the year to include visits, sometimes by coach, to places of interest and here again partners are most welcome.
